RAIN CLOUDS EXPERIMENT
Yes, Made to Change is making some new summer workshops! Come join Rain Clouds Experiment, a new webinar by Made to Change. This webinar is on June 11, 2022, from 9-10 AM. In this experiment, students will learn about condensation, evaporation, and many other weather-related concepts. Students will learn about science in a fun, interactive way!
VENTURE WEBINAR | PAPER GLIDER EXPERIMENT
Made to Change has made a new cohort of more advanced STEM programs for students who have shown advanced-level STEM thinking. Students are selected to be a part of the VENTURE group, and classes are kept at a maximum of 15 students.
In this webinar, students built, tested, and had group discussions on paper gliders. They learned about thrust, lift, gravity, and drag. This webinar lasted for 1 hour and 10 minutes, as opposed to the the regular 50 minute webinars.


WALKING RAINBOW WEBINAR
Made to Change is back at it with another online event! Come join our exciting, colorful Walking Rainbow Experiment! Held via Zoom, this webinar program will be for kids between from 1st to 5th grades. In this webinar, students will conduct an experiment and learn about capillary action, the scientific method, and even some engineering. We will have two installments of this webinar. One will be on the 16th of October between 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. WIB, and the other will be on October 23, from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. WIB.
WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE A STEM MAJOR?
Made to Change is hosting another event for students from 8th-12th grade! This will be a special webinar with our guest speaker, Ricky Toh. Ricky is an alumnus of Stanford University and a former BAIS student. In “Why Should I Choose a STEM Major?,” students will learn about the different branches of STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), possible career paths, as well as tips and tricks on how to get into the top STEM universities. After the presentation, Ricky will be answering questions you may have. Sign up via the link or by scanning the QR code to join the webinar on September 18 from 7-8 pm.


LAVA LAMP EXPERIMENT
In this Zoom Webinar, students aged 5-11 conducted the experiment at home through the guidance of our mentors. Students learned about the densities of different liquids and how that affects the way substances sink or float.
SELF-INFLATING BALLOON
In this Zoom Webinar, students aged 5-11 conducted an experiment at home through the guidance of our mentors. Students learned about acids and bases as well as about the byproducts created by chemical reactions.


BREAKING DOWN COLLEGE
In this Zoom Webinar, students aged 12-17 learned about the different in's and out's of college applications. They also learned about what things they could do during high school that could help them with college life in the future. This webinar was held by Made to Change in partnership with BAIS Alumni and UC Berkeley student, Josiah Kim.
MAKING SNOW FLUFF
In this Zoom Webinar, students aged 7-9 conducted an experiment at home through the guidance of our mentors. Students learned about surface tension and the difference between mixtures and solutions.
